How to add an email signature in Yahoo Mail
Yahoo Mail keeps its signature setting a couple of menus deep and off by default, and the mobile app has its own. Here is where both live, what the editor keeps when you paste, and what to do about a logo that does not show.

Before you start: have the signature ready
Yahoo's signature editor is a basic rich-text box. Build the signature elsewhere and paste it in as formatted text. The free signature generator puts rich text on the clipboard with Copy signature; use the link to a logo option rather than an upload, because Yahoo keeps hosted images and drops pasted ones.
Yahoo Mail on the web
- Copy your signature.
- Click the Settings gear (top right), then More Settings.
- Choose Writing email in the left column.
- Under Signature, turn on the toggle next to your email address.
- Click into the box that appears and paste.
There is no save button; Yahoo stores the signature as you edit. Start a new message to check it. If you have added other mailboxes to Yahoo, each has its own toggle and box.
Yahoo Mail app on iPhone and Android
- Tap your profile picture (top left), then Settings.
- Tap Signature (under General on Android).
- Turn the signature on for the account and type the text.
The app signature is plain text and separate from the web one, so a logo or colours set on the web do not appear on the phone. Replace the default "Sent from Yahoo Mail" line with your name, title and phone.
Common problems
The logo does not show
Yahoo keeps images that point at a public web address and drops images embedded in the paste. Re-copy from the generator with a linked logo, or upload the logo to your website first and link to it.
Formatting is partly lost
The editor keeps bold, colours, links and simple tables, and strips anything else. A table-based signature with inline styles survives; a signature built with layout tricks does not. Paste again from a source that follows the HTML best practices.
Yahoo Mail Basic shows a plain box
The Basic (no-JavaScript) version of Yahoo Mail only supports text signatures. Switch back to the full version to paste a formatted one.
Replies do not get the signature
Yahoo adds the signature to new messages and replies alike once the toggle is on. If it is missing on replies, the toggle was turned on for a different mailbox than the one you are replying from.
Setting signatures for a whole company
Yahoo Mail is a personal service and has no admin console for signatures, so each person pastes their own. Organisations that need one consistent signature across staff usually run mail on Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, where UnifySig applies it server-side for every mailbox and device.

Can I add an image to my Yahoo Mail signature?
Yes, as long as the image is hosted at a public web address. Paste a signature that links to the hosted logo; images embedded in the paste are dropped.
Where is the signature setting in Yahoo Mail?
On the web: Settings gear, More Settings, Writing email, Signature. In the app: profile picture, Settings, Signature.
Why is my signature different in the Yahoo Mail app?
The app has its own plain-text signature, separate from the web version. Set it under Settings, Signature in the app.
